1) The first step is a given, but needs to be said anyway.

are a variety of options to get either if you’re in this position, especially
in the state of California. Once
you have this it’s just a matter of really getting out there.

2) The second step is to get out there. Pounding the
pavement is cliché—but it will be HARD to get an entry level position with a
local HVAC company; however this is key. Everyone needs to start somewhere, and
to become an HVAC Technician—you’ll need experience, no matter how minor—no
matter how entry level the position may be. This can be the hardest step for
many. It can be financially straining, but with perseverance and a can-do
attitude you’ll learn a plethora from accompanying a true HVAC contractor on
jobs for HVAC service. And that experience will be invaluable on your path.

3)  Now that you have
some experience and knowledge under your belt—it’s time to take your education
in HVAC service to another level. There are a wide variety of vocational
schools and community college classes aimed to training HVAC technicians. There
are a wide variety of programs—that can vary in length. But getting this education
is something that you can’t replace with any amount of experience. In these
classes be prepared to really understand and learn the ins and outs of HVAC
units.

4) With you’re vocational HVAC contractor education
completed. It’s time to begin the last step. With experience, and education—it
shouldn’t be too hard to get a job at a company as an apprentice. Just make
sure the company is affiliated with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America
Association and you’ll really be on your path. An apprenticeship will put you
right on the job learning from expert HVAC technicians, and after your
apprenticeship is finished—you’ll finally be able to get your HVAC

Jobs are hard to find—but in Southern California,
there will always be a need for HVAC technicians who can provide customers with
